I am George Glass, a Board Certified Psychiatrist and Addictionologist, and I appreciate your looking at my Web Page.  I am a graduate of Swarthmore College, Northwestern University Medical School, and did my Psychiatry training at the Yale University Medical School and have been in practice for over 35 years.  I believe that everyone deserves to be treated like I would like to be treated.  That means that your physician should clearly be competent, and capable, but also be able to explain to you in language you can understand, what the problem is, and what your options are.  In my opinion, if you are well informed whether you are looking for a treating Psychiatrist, a second Medical Opinion, or a Forensic Psychiatric Expert, you can make a better decision, which is ultimately your decision if you understand the actual problem, what the choices you have are, and what the consequences of those choices might be.

My resume which includes the fact that I am a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at 2 Houston Medical School, some of my work experience, and a list of some of my publications and consulting work is attached on the following pages.  I am aware that many people do not want to be actively involved in the decision about their own care.  They would rather have their healthcare provider tell them everything they should do, and have no idea why it is being done, or what the short and long term consequences are.  If you are that type of a person, you might not want me as your psychiatrist.
